Is it your first time practicing yoga? Or maybe just your first time at our studio? We're so happy to have you!! Studio Etiquette

  • If you come with an open mind, the possibilities are endless. We recommend approaching the practice without any judgement, expectation, or self-doubt.

  • Please don't wear any perfume, cologne, or scented lotions. Pranayama (breath work) is a huge part of the practice and heavy scents can make it difficult.

  • Please remove your shoes before you enter the practice space.

  • Please leave your phone in the car. We understand if you need to have it close by, but please make sure it's on silent. Vibrations and ringtones can be distracting to others.

  • We recommend bringing a small towel just in case you get sweaty and water to hydrate. We don't sell bottled water at the studio but we do having a water station where you can refill your reusable bottle.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to class so you have time to set up and get situated. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after class starts, you won't be allowed to take class.

  • Do not leave during savanasa. We understand that you may need to leave class early, so please make arrangements to leave before the final meditation.

FAQ's

  • Where do I park?

There's street parking right in front of our studio and also a huge public parking lot across the street! All parking is free, but make sure you check the parking signs.

  • How do I buy classes?

You can purchase classes when you visit us in the studio or by clicking here. We accept cash, debit cards, and credit cards.

  • I've never done yoga. What classes should I take?​​​​ 

First of all, congratulations on making the choice to come to yoga! We're excited to guide you on your journey! ​The classes that will work best to begin your journey are our slow flow, stretch classes, yin, and restorative. Click here to see our schedule!

  • What should I bring to class?

Water to stay hydrated, a towel in case you get sweaty​, and a yoga mat. If you don't have a mat, don't worry! We provide mats at the studio as a courtesy for our students.

  • What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that's easy to move in. Normal gym clothing is a good option!​

  • Should I eat before class?

We recommend ​practicing with an empty stomach. If you need something before class, a small piece of fruit is a good choice.

  • Can I practice yoga if I'm pregnant?

Definitely! In fact, we encourage it. Just make sure you let your teacher know before class so they can help you modify the poses. Safety in the poses is key while practicing during pregnancy. For more information on practicing when pregnant, read this article.

  • What are the benefits of yoga and how often should I practice?

There are too many benefits to list! Some of our favorites are a more balanced life, an increase in flexibility and strength, a deeper understanding of ourselves, and ​a way to release stress and tension. We recommend practicing 3-4 times a week to see results. 

  • Is SKY a hot studio?

We are not a hot studio but we do like to keep the room warm! On average, our room temperature is 72-84 degrees depending on the class and teacher.

  • Are workshops included in a membership?

Workshops are not included in memberships, but if you buy a 3 month, 6 month or one year unlimited or our monthly recurring, you will receive a 10% discount on any workshop we hold at the studio.​
